Vitamin E is a group of eight fat-soluble compounds with strong antioxidant properties. It has a fundamental role in the metabolism of all cells in the body. It is the most important fat-soluble antioxidant in human and animal tissues, it protects essential fatty acids from oxidation. Its natural source is mostly vegetable, it is found in whole grains, nuts, seeds, vegetable oils and especially in green leafy vegetables such as spinach and broccoli; in products of animal origin it exists in the yolk of the egg. Its intake is recommended to properly metabolize fat-soluble nutrients.
